Legal
Terms and conditions of use of the site and of reservations
Terms governing the use of the Lido Pino d'Oro Ristorante website, online reservation requests and the assistant Pino. The Italian text is the reference version.
Last updated: .
1. Scope
These terms govern the use of the Lido Pino d'Oro Ristorante website (the "Site"), run by [RAGIONE SOCIALE], registered office [INDIRIZZO SEDE LEGALE], VAT no. [PARTITA IVA] (the "Restaurant"), and the services offered through the Site: online reservation requests and the automated assistant Pino. By using the Site or sending a reservation request you accept these terms. The processing of personal data is described in the privacy notice and on the page Cookies and local storage.
2. Site content and menu
The menu published on the Site is for information: dishes depend on the catch and the season and may change without notice, as may prices. The menu handed to you at the table prevails. The cover charge and any included services are those shown on the day's menu; the tasting menus state on the Site what they include. Photographs are illustrative. The opening hours published on the Site may vary with the season, the weather and exceptional closures: when in doubt, contact the Restaurant.
3. Online reservations
3.1 Request and confirmation
The form on the Site and the assistant Pino let you send a reservation request to the Restaurant's reservation system. The request is recorded in the state "Da confermare" (to be confirmed) and is not yet a reservation: the table is held only when the Restaurant confirms the request, by phone or e-mail, at the contact details you gave. The Restaurant may decline a request or propose changes (for example a different time) depending on availability. If you receive no confirmation, treat the request as not accepted and contact the Restaurant.
Whoever sends the request must be an adult and warrants that the details provided are correct and concern themselves or people who authorised them. The Restaurant is not responsible for requests that cannot be confirmed because of wrong contact details.
3.2 Reservation code, checking and cancelling
Every request is given a reservation code. With the code and the phone number used to book you can, on the Site or through Pino, check the status of the reservation and cancel it. Please cancel as early as possible if you can no longer come: the table will be offered to other guests. To change a reservation (date, time, party size) contact the Restaurant, or cancel and send a new request.
3.3 Slot notices and how long the table is held
Some time slots carry a notice — for example how long the table is held after the booked time, or for how long it is available — shown before the request is sent; in that case we ask you to acknowledge it by ticking the box. If you book through Pino, the notice is read to you in the chat before booking. If you are running late, let the Restaurant know: once the time stated in the notice has passed, the table may be given to other guests.
3.4 Waiting list
When no table is available for the chosen date and time, you can ask to join the waiting list. Joining it does not guarantee a table: the Restaurant will contact you if a place frees up at the time you prefer.
3.5 Groups and events
The online form accepts requests for up to 9 people. For large parties (roughly 10 people or more) and for private events (ceremonies, parties, private aperitivo) please contact the Restaurant by phone or e-mail to agree on menu, availability and conditions; group requests sent through the Site or the assistant are in any case reviewed by the Restaurant before confirmation.
3.6 No online payment
The Site neither requests nor collects payments, card details or deposits. The bill is paid at the Restaurant. Never provide payment details through the form or the chat.
4. The assistant Pino
You are talking to an automated system. Pino is an assistant based on artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude model), not a person: the chat widget tells you so as well, in line with the transparency obligations of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on artificial intelligence. Pino answers questions about the menu, allergens, opening hours and reservations on the basis of the information the Restaurant gives it.
Pino's answers are for information only and may contain mistakes or inaccuracies. They do not replace the guidance of our staff: for allergies, intolerances and dietary needs always confirm with the staff before ordering.
Pino can book, check or cancel a table on your behalf only after you have explicitly confirmed in the chat that you want it to and that you agree to the processing of your details for the reservation (the privacy notice is linked at the bottom of the chat). Reservations requested through Pino are subject to the same rules as section 3: they are requests to be confirmed by the Restaurant. Always check the details (date, time, party size) Pino repeats to you before confirming.
Do not type into the chat personal data the reservation does not need, other people's data, payment details or documents. Do not use the chat for unlawful or offensive purposes or to try to alter how it works.
Pino may be unavailable at times; in that case use the reservation form or contact the Restaurant.
How it works technically and which data is processed is described in the privacy notice.
5. Allergens
Dishes may contain one or more of the allergens listed in Annex II of Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 (for example gluten, crustaceans, molluscs, fish, eggs, milk, nuts, celery, mustard, sesame, sulphur dioxide and sulphites, lupin, peanuts, soy), including traces, because all dishes are prepared in the same kitchen. Full information on the allergens present in each dish is available from our staff, who are at your disposal before you order. The information on the Site and the suggestions of the assistant Pino are indicative and must always be confirmed with the staff. Please also mention any allergies or intolerances in the notes of your reservation.
6. Intellectual property
The texts, photographs, illustrations, logo, the name "Lido Pino d'Oro" and the design of the Site belong to the Restaurant or to their respective owners and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may browse the Site and print its pages for personal use; any other use (reproduction, distribution, modification, commercial use) requires the Restaurant's written permission. Menu information may be shared with a reference to the Site.
7. Limitation of liability
The Restaurant strives to keep the Site up to date and working, but does not guarantee that it is always available or error-free, or that the information published (menu, prices, hours, availability) is accurate and complete at all times. To the extent permitted by law, the Restaurant is not liable for damages arising from the use of the Site, from the inability to use it, from errors or outages of the third-party services the Site relies on, or from reliance on the answers of the automated assistant. Nothing in these terms limits the Restaurant's liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor the mandatory rights granted to consumers by Legislative Decree 206/2005 (Italian Consumer Code). The Site may contain links to third-party sites, for whose content the Restaurant is not responsible.
8. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law. Disputes with a consumer fall under the jurisdiction of the court of the consumer's place of residence or domicile, if located in Italy (art. 66-bis of the Italian Consumer Code); the alternative dispute resolution procedures provided for by the Consumer Code remain available. Disputes with parties other than consumers fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the court of the place where the Restaurant has its registered office.
The Restaurant may change these terms at any time; the version in force is the one published at this address, with the update date shown at the top, and applies to requests sent after its publication. In case of discrepancy between the Italian and the English text, the Italian text prevails.
